Life's Mysteries

Life can be confusing. There are things I don't always understand or why things work the way they do. Even years later after graduating from high school, I find myself wondering why things turned out the way they did. What if things turned out differently if I did just one little thing differently? How would my life turn out? Would the friends I made still be in my life? Some things like that are interesting to think about, but I'm happy with the way things have turned out so far. Sure, things haven't been easy, but it ended up being worth it in the end. I know things happen for a reason and some things are meant to turn out a certain way.  I have learned important lessons over the years, and that has helped me become a better person. Life is a mystery, but it's definitely worth unpacking.

Get to Know Someone

I love service and helping people. There have been many good role models in my life who have inspired me to show kindness, love, and charity. Some of those people are still in my life today, and that makes me feel even more inspired.  Getting to know someone before passing judgement is one of the greatest things I have learned over the years. Judging based on what someone looks like isn't okay, and it needs to stop. How can you know who someone is if you're only concerned with what they look like? Appearances aren’t all that matters, it's what someone is like on the inside that counts. Take the chance and get to know people and love them for who they are.

" Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt like you could disappear? Like you could fall, and no one would hear?" "Even when the dark comes crashing through When you need a friend to carry you And when you're broken on the ground You will be found So let the sun come streaming in 'Cause you'll reach up, and you'll rise again Lift your head and look around You will be found" I love the musical Dear Evan Hansen. I saw the live musical, March of last year, before the world went down the drain. Recently, I saw the movie of the same name and I absolutely loved it! It's so wonderful to see a show that I can find some way to relate to; meaning mental health struggles and feeling like I'm not good enough. The more I've learned, the more I understand that life isn't all bad; sure there are struggles, but that doesn't mean that life is miserable. There are the most

Being My Best Self

Have you ever felt hesitant to take charge and be confident? I think it's safe to say that we've all felt like that at some point. I know I have. We are often told to put ourselves out there and be ourselves, but what I've noticed is that the only what society deems as acceptable is how we can be ourselves; that's an unfortunate truth. I know there's always room for improvement to help us become better, but there is nothing wrong with loving yourself and showing who you are. There is nothing wrong with showing love for people around you; the world doesn't need more sadness and loneliness. Spread love and be your best self.

Anti-Bullying Month

October is the best month of the year! Not only because of Halloween, but because it’s Anti-Bullying Month. We can bring awareness of who needs help; and realize who needs an act of kindness. I don’t understand why bullying is a thing, it just causes pain. I know the world can be a better place if we all treat each other with respect and love each other. Build each other up. Make each other feel important and like they have a place in this world, like all of us deserve. We deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. No one is too important to be nice to anyone.

Life Experiences

Sometimes in life, experiences come back in some way, and it's a good thing. It shows you how far you've come. I'm young but I have lots of experiences in my life that I hold dear to my heart and some that I question why it even happened, and I hadn't gotten certain answers until years later; that's when things begin to make sense.  It can be frustrating as to why answers take so long, but it's our job to trust in the Lord's will and timing; and when the answer comes, things become clear and they make sense. There are experiences that I miss and I am grateful for the lessons I've learned and who have made me a better person. A friend of mine once said this amazing phrase, "I'm not perfect, but I'm entitled to a perfect moment."  We are all entitled to our perfect moments, because life is already hard enough.
